You hear each fragment only once in a realistic practice session. The question tells you what detail to listen for.

• Underline the person, day, time, place, or action in the question.
• Look at the answer choices before the audio starts.
• Listen for the exact answer, not every word.

A2 listening tasks often include a first plan and then a change. The final plan is usually the answer.

• Pay attention after words like maar, toch, dus, helaas, and in plaats van.
• Do not choose an answer too early.
• If a speaker corrects a number or day, use the corrected detail.

Many questions ask who must do something. Names, family roles, jobs, and departments are strong anchors.

• Listen for names such as Sandra, Petra, de docent, or mijn broer.
• Check whether the question asks about the speaker or another person.
• Ignore details about people who are not in the question.

After practice, use the transcript to find the sentence that supports the answer.

• Mark questions where you guessed.
• Read the evidence sentence in Dutch.
• Write down one signal word or phrase that you missed.
