NT2 Programma I Lezen: is 110 minutes enough for 36 questions?

Exams (NT2 & KNM)

Hi everyone! I am preparing for Staatsexamen NT2 Programma I and Lezen is my next exam. I checked the official site (staatsexamensnt2.nl) and it says the exam is 110 minutes, with 6 texts and 36 multiple-choice questions.

On paper that sounds like plenty of time. But when I practice at home, I catch myself rereading the same paragraph three times as soon as I start worrying about the clock.

Questions for people who already did it:

  1. I understood you get the texts on paper and answer the questions on the computer — is that right? Does switching between paper and screen feel awkward?
  2. Can you skip a question and come back to it later, or do you have to answer in order?
  3. Did anyone finish with time left over, or was it tight for you?

I passed Luisteren already, so I keep telling myself Lezen should be fine too. But I would really love to hear how it went for others. Thanks!

I finished with about twelve minutes left. Moving between the paper text and the screen felt strange for the first few questions, then I stopped noticing it. Mark the question number clearly on the paper when you want to return to something.

What helped me was practising one complete exam with a visible clock, then the next one without checking the time after every question. Constantly watching the minutes made me read less carefully.
