Log in through the official portal page
Open the official Mijn Inburgering login page (External site, opens in a new tab). Choose ‘Inloggen Mijn Inburgering’, then use DigiD with the app or SMS (text-message) verification. DUO (Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs, the Dutch education service) runs the portal. You can check your required exams, see results and read DUO letters there.
How do you log in?
You need an activated DigiD app or DigiD with SMS verification. Follow these login steps:
- Open the official Mijn Inburgering login page (External site, opens in a new tab).
- Choose ‘Inloggen Mijn Inburgering’.
- On the DigiD screen, choose the app or SMS method you have set up.
- Follow the instructions for that method to finish logging in.
What can you do in Mijn Inburgering?
You can book A2 language exams and Kennis van de Nederlandse Maatschappij (KNM, knowledge of Dutch society) in Mijn Inburgering. DUO lists the tasks below on its official portal page (External site, opens in a new tab).

How do you send your ONA portfolio?
For ONA, you send a portfolio through Mijn Inburgering. It contains 8 resultaatkaarten (result cards) and the required bewijzen (evidence). Follow DUO’s ONA submission steps (External site, opens in a new tab):
- Log in to Mijn Inburgering.
- Choose ‘ONA’.
- Send your result cards and required evidence.
- Pay the €40 ONA exam fee (2026) through iDEAL/Wero (online bank payment), or use your DUO loan if you have one.
- Choose the 64-hour ONA course or the eindgesprek (final interview).
DUO can take 6 weeks to check your portfolio. If you chose the final interview, register for it after DUO approves your portfolio. For the cards and evidence, use the ONA portfolio and result cards guide.
How do you change or cancel an A2 exam?
You can change the place or date in Mijn Inburgering until 1 week before your A2 exam. If you cancel by that deadline, DUO refunds your payment. These are DUO’s A2 change and cancellation rules (External site, opens in a new tab).
If you cannot use the portal, write to DUO Servicecentrum Inburgering (civic integration), Postbus 764, 9700 AT Groningen. Ask for a new exam date. DUO must receive your letter at least 1 week before the exam. Allow time for the post to arrive.
Which tasks use another service?
Choose the service for your exam or participation task:
- Staatsexamen NT2 (Dutch as a Second Language state exam) at B1 or B2: book through DUO’s state-exam registration page (External site, opens in a new tab). Registration uses Mijn DUO (My DUO), a separate portal.
- Module Arbeidsmarkt en Participatie (MAP, labour-market and participation module) and participatieverklaringstraject (PVT, participation declaration process): contact your gemeente (municipality). It arranges both tasks.
- Basisexamen inburgering buitenland (basic civic integration exam abroad) at A1: register through Naar Nederland (To the Netherlands) (External site, opens in a new tab). After payment, arrange an appointment with the Dutch embassy or consulate.
What if you cannot log in?
If the error appears on the DigiD screen, use the DigiD app help (External site, opens in a new tab) or DigiD SMS verification help (External site, opens in a new tab). Choose the case that matches your problem:
- New phone: activate the DigiD app on that device.
- Wrong SMS number: check and update the phone number registered with DigiD.
- Timeout on a phone or tablet: update the DigiD app, your device software and your browser. DigiD lists more steps to try on its app help page.
- App-opening error: follow DigiD’s instructions for your device and browser.
- Connection failed or unknown error: close all open browser pages, windows and tabs, then try again.

If access still fails, choose the paper form for your task:
- A2 or KNM registration: use the exam application form on DUO’s exam registration page (External site, opens in a new tab).
- ONA: use the portfolio-review form and result cards on DUO’s ONA page (External site, opens in a new tab). Send them by post. This commits you to the final-interview route.
- Loan application: use the application form on DUO’s loan page (External site, opens in a new tab). Check whether you are eligible before applying.
If expected exams are missing, compare the portal with your DUO letter. If you have a persoonlijk plan inburgering en participatie (PIP, personal integration and participation plan), check it too. Ask DUO or your municipality to explain any difference before you book.
Which route should you use now?
Use Mijn Inburgering for A2 and KNM bookings, ONA submissions and your DUO file. Use the separate state-exam route for B1 or B2, and your municipality for MAP or PVT. You can change an A2 exam until 1 week before it. DUO must receive a mailed change request by that deadline. If you want the 64-hour ONA course, submit your portfolio digitally.
